Megabon recently took part in a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in partnership with SOS Philippines through its Rescue Kitchen Program, an effort that transforms surplus food into nutritious meals for communities in need.
Held at Pasig City Institute of Science and Technology, the activity brought together volunteers with a shared goal: reduce food waste while making a meaningful impact.
Making the Most of What We Have
Food waste is an ongoing challenge, but it also presents an opportunity to create value. Through the Rescue Kitchen Program, surplus ingredients that would have otherwise gone unused were repurposed into well-prepared, nutritious meals.
In just one day, the team prepared 500 meals, which were distributed to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology ensuring that every meal served had a purpose.
A Collective Effort
The success of this initiative was made possible by the collaboration between volunteers, organizers, and partners who dedicated their time and effort to bring the activity to life.
It’s a reminder that creating impact doesn’t always require something new sometimes, it starts by maximizing what’s already available.
Beyond the Spaces We Build
At Megabon, our work goes beyond designing and building physical spaces. We also aim to contribute to communities in meaningful ways, through initiatives that promote sustainability, responsibility, and care.
We extend our thanks to SOS Philippines and everyone involved in making this initiative possible.
Because what we build is not just measured by structures, but by the difference we make.
